Indian markets ended the first trading day of the week at record closing highs with Nifty and Sensex adding 0.21 per cent and 0.26 per cent, respectively.

The broader indices i.e. Nifty Midcap 100 and Smallcap 100 had a disappointing outing as they witnessed some selling pressure. As a result, they lost 0.34 per cent and 0.78 per cent, respectively.

Despite underperformance by the broader indices, stock-specific action was witnessed in the markets. Hence, it’s important for traders and investors to keep a close watch on stocks that exhibit strong strength.

Considering this, we have chalked down a list of stocks that look for swing trading:

Apollo Hospitals Enterprise: The stock of Apollo Hospitals Enterprise gained nearly 7 per cent along with robust volumes. It has recorded its highest single-day volume after June 25. The stock closed near its day’s high and furthermore, witnessed more than half of the volume in the initial hour of the trading session.

KNR Constructions: The stock has closed at record highs and witnessed the bulk of the volume traded in the first hour of the trading session while in the last leg as well, some interest was seen in the stock.

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M): The stock of Mahindra & Mahindra was seen outperforming the auto index. The stock has closed near its day’s high as it witnessed good volume activity throughout the day.

Maharashtra Seamless: The stock of Maharashtra Seamless jumped more than 5 per cent on Monday. It witnessed more than 50 per cent of the volume in the second half of the trading session. Besides, it also closed above its prior swing high.

Reliance Industries: The index heavyweight Reliance Industries did witness good buying interest in the first half of the trading session but in the second half, the stock was seen retracing its upmove. However, one can expect the stock to remain in momentum as price and volume activities are quite good.
