Surya Roshni lights orderbook with Rs. 45 crore contract
Surya Roshni has won a contract worth Rs. 45.67 crore from the Energy Efficiency Services. Reacting to this development, the shares of the company gained 2 per cent intraday on Friday.
The company has been awarded a contract from the Energy Efficiency Services (EES) which is a joint venture (JV) of PSUs under the Union Ministry of Power. The company will be involved in working on the design, manufacture, supply, testing and warranty of 1.82 lakh LED street lights. The project will be carried out in major cities of Maharashtra including Amravati, Aurangabad, Nashik, Konkan, Pune and Nagpur. The project has been given a deadline of two months.
Surya Roshni is a manufacturing company with business interests in the steel tubes and pipes, lighting, fans and appliances, and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pipes. The company deals in Pipes & Tubes, CR Strips and Lighting Products. It operates in two segments, namely, Steel and Lighting.
On Friday, the shares of Surya Roshni opened at Rs. 244.20 as against Thursday’s close of Rs. 242.75 per share. At the closing hour, the shares closed at Rs 240.65 down by 0.87 per cent. The intraday high was Rs. 247 and intraday low was at RS. 240 per share on the BSE. The 52-week high was Rs. 522.35 and the 52-week low was at Rs 185.05 per share on the BSE. Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex closed in positive at 36,386.61 level, up by 0.03 per cent.
