Supreme Industries reports strong results
Supreme Industries posted stable results for Q1FY18 on a QoQ basis. The company recorded exceptional gain on selling of its unit to a newly formed JV.
The total revenue for the quarter rose by 16 per cent yoy to Rs. 1,346 crore in Q1FY19 vs Rs. 1,161 crore in Q1FY18. This was largely led by increase in revenue from plastic and industrial products segments for the quarter.
The EBITDA for the quarter rose by 18 per cent yoy to Rs. 186 crore vs Rs. 158 crore in Q1FY18. The EBITDA margin expanded 20 bps to 13.8 per cent in Q1FY19 vs 13.6 per cent in the previous year's corresponding quarter.
The net profit for the quarter rose by Rs. 130 crore in Q1FY19 vs Rs.75 crore in the previous year's corresponding quarter. The company also recorded exceptional gain of Rs. 58 crore on sale of unit to newly formed JV Kumi Supreme Limited.
On Tuesday, the stock of Supreme Industries closed 1.09 per cent up at Rs. 1,201.00 per share.
