The Indian headline indices concluded Friday's trading session on an optimistic note, buoyed by strong performances in the power, utilities, capital goods, and fast-moving consumer goods sectors. Notably, the BSE Auto was the sole index to register losses. With 2,109 shares rising on the BSE and 1,638 shares declining, the advance-decline ratio strongly remained in favour of advances.

Tanfac Industries Ltd: Emerging as the top gainer on the BSE Smallcap index, shares of the chemical company experienced an impressive eightfold increase in trading volume, ultimately reaching the upper circuit limit of 20 per cent. Additionally, the shares achieved a new 52-week high at Rs 2,675.50 per share on the BSE.
Whirlpool of India Ltd: Whirlpool Corporation has disclosed its plans to engage in one or more transactions aimed at selling up to 24 per cent of its ownership stake in Whirlpool of India Limited (Whirlpool India) in the year 2024. Following this announcement, the company's shares witnessed a significant rise in trading volume, resulting in a notable decline of over 9 per cent on Friday.
TV18 Broadcast Ltd: Ranked among the leading gainers in the Small-Cap segment, the shares of the TV broadcasting company surged by over 11 per cent, reaching an intraday high of Rs 48.49 per share on the BSE. Notably, the shares have climbed by more than 25 per cent over the past six months.
