Larsen & Toubro Ltd - Shares of the company surged by more than 3 per cent during the opening trades and reached a 52-week high, surpassing the Rs 3,000 per share mark. Heavy buying activity ensued as the company announced that its Buyback Committee had approved an increase in the buyback price from Rs 3,000 to Rs 3,200 per equity share.

Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd - Emerging as the top loser within the BSE Midcap index, shares of the company have witnessed a sharp decline of over 10 per cent, under significant selling pressure.
