The BSE Sensex gained 0.12 per cent to 65,401 level at the close. The Nifty 50 index edged up by 0.03 per cent to a level of 19,434.

Skipper Ltd - After the company announced a robust quarter performance, shares of Skipper Ltd, the top BSE Smallcap gainer on Monday, attracted heavy buying interest and were locked in at a 20 per cent upper circuit. It reported a 33 per cent year-on-year growth in revenue, while net profit surged by leaps and bounds from a loss of Rs 0.65 crore to profit of Rs 16.25 crore.
Cochin Shipyard Ltd - Being one of the top price movers, shares of the company climbed more than 6 per cent on an increase in trading volume following the announcement of a strong quarter in which net profit skyrocketed by a noteworthy 133 per cent year-on-year.
