Stocks to watch: These smallcap stocks will be in focus tomorrow!

Gujarat Ambuja Exports, AVT Natural Products, Andhra Paper, Kothari Products, Ganges Securities, Bharat Dynamics, Accuracy Shipping, West Coast Paper Mills, United Polyfab Gujarat, Xpro India, Vadilal Industries, Rhi Magnesita India, PDS, Shah Alloys and Sejal Glass made a fresh 52-week high today. 

On Wednesday, Indian equity markets closed on a strong note after ending in the red territory yesterday. Frontline equity indices Nifty 50 and Sensex jumped 1.87 per cent, ending the session at 16,975.30 and 56,816.65 respectively.

BSE Smallcap index relatively underperformed broader markets, closing at 27,383.82 with gains of 1.47 per cent. Top gainers of the index include Kirloskar Ferrous Industries, Gujarat Ambuja Exports, AVT Natural Products, Rane Brake Lining, HSIL and HG Infra Engineering. Top losers comprise Vishwaraj Sugar Industries, BGR Energy Systems, Saregama India and Healthcare Global Enterprises.  

The following smallcap stocks are likely to be in focus on Thursday, March 17, 2022:  

NLC India - A power purchase agreement for procuring 1,500 MW power from thermal power project at Talabira, Jharsuguda District in Odisha has been recently signed between Tangedco and NLC India. The company is in the process of setting up a thermal power plant with a capacity of 2400 MW consisting of 3 units of 800 MW supercritical technology. The power from this plant is expected to be one of the cheapest round the clock power among thermal power plants in the country with state of the art supercritical technology and environmental compliances.

ITI - Considering the huge market demand in view of Digital India Initiative, and the Government’s decision of data localization, ITI Limited has taken up a quantum jump in data centre expansion and consolidation in a big way. The large 2,00,000 plus sq. ft capacity of ITI Data Center in Bengaluru is fully equipped with excellent facilities as well as next-generation technology capable of housing 1,350 racks to provide co-location, managed co-location, email, internet, backup services, storage, data security, and cloud services and under data centre umbrella.

The move reflects the company’s effort to streamline delivery with a hybrid model built for the post-pandemic paradigm.
