On Wednesday, the Indian equity markets broke their two-day winning streak to close in the red territory. Nifty 50 and Sensex slipped 1.44 per cent & 1.35 per cent to end at 15,413.30 and 51,822.53 levels, respectively.
BSE Smallcap index also ended the session with a loss of 1.11 per cent at 23,854.62. Top Losers comprise Dhanvarsha Finvest Ltd, Techno Electric & Engineering, United Drilling Tools, EID Parry (India), and Goa Carbon.

Greenlam Industries – The company has acquired the laminate manufacturing facility of Gujarat-based Bloom Dekor Limited in a deal worth Rs 36 crore. With this acquisition, the company will now have four strategically-located laminate manufacturing facilities in India situated at Behror (Rajasthan), Nalagarh (Himachal Pradesh), Naidupeta (Andhra Pradesh - under construction), and now, Prantij (Gujarat). This acquisition will reinforce Greenlam to be at India’s leading position in the laminate industry with an overall capacity of 24.521 million sheets.
Kalpataru Power Transmission – The company announced that it has received orders from international markets in the power transmission business worth Rs 1,416 crore.
JMC Projects (India) – The company has secured new orders worth Rs 874 crore. The details are as follows:
- Construction of elevated via duct and five elevated stations of Kanpur Metro Rail project of Rs 459 crore.
- Civil works for a data centre and B&F projects in India worth Rs 415 crore.
