On Monday, Indian equity markets closed in the green territory, starting the week on a positive note. Nifty 50 and Sensex ended the session at 15,350.20 and 51,597.84 with gains of 0.37 per cent and 0.46 per cent respectively.
BSE Smallcap index massively underperformed broader markets plunging 2.95 per cent to close at 23,422.16. Top Gainers of the index include ITI, Omaxe, Apar Industries, Insecticides India, DCB Bank, NACL Industries, Amber Enterprises and Greenlam Industries. Top Losers comprise MRPL, Chennai Petroleum Corporation, Mirza International, Rain Industries, Gujarat Ambuja Exports and Nava Bharat Ventures.

NIIT – The company announced that its life sciences division, NIIT Life Sciences has entered into a multi-year learning services agreement with a Swiss multinational leader in healthcare. Under the agreement, the company will provide a full range of learning services to the client to help streamline its regulatory operations using Veeva Vault RIM.
Tilaknagar Industries – The company has announced the unveiling of India’s first premium flavoured brandy under its flagship brand, Mansion House. The first-of-its-kind French-style premium brandy has been launched in three flavours namely orange, cherry, and peach. The company aims to expand its bouquet of premium brandy offerings to cater to the preferences of the existing as well as newer & experimental consumers.
Thomas Cook (India) - The sub-committee of the board of directors of the company has approved the conversion of the balance of Rs 132.9 crore optionally convertible cumulative redeemable preference shares (OCCRPS) held by Fairbridge Capital (Mauritius) Limited (FCML), promoters of the company into 2.8 crore equity shares. The entire OCCRPS of Rs 435.7 crore has been converted into 9.2 crore equity shares at Rs 47.30 per share thereby, increasing the promoters’ shareholding to 72.34 per cent.
Birlasoft – The company has entered into a global partnership with Google Cloud to enable enterprises to accelerate their digital transformation journey. Leveraging Birlasoft’s expertise on Google Cloud’s technology offerings will enable customers across various verticals to meet their cloud priorities with speed.
Anup Engineering – The company has received an order of Rs 102.9 crore from a public sector refinery.
