Stocks to watch: These small-cap stocks will be in focus tomorrow!

KPI Green Energy, Priti International, Mirza International, Standard Industries, Kohinoor Foods, Apar Industries, BLS International Services, and Varun Beverages made a fresh 52-week high today

On Wednesday, Indian equity markets closed on a flat note in the red territory. Nifty 50 and Sensex slipped 0.28 per cent and 0.33 per cent each to close the session at 15,687.80 and 52,520.14. 

BSE Smallcap index outperformed broader markets by gaining 0.54 per cent to close at 25,078.55. Top Gainers of the index include Ramco Systems, TTK Healthcare, Yaari Digital Integrated Services, Mirza International, Elecon Engineering Company, Sandur Manganese & Iron Ores and Vijaya Diagnostic Centre. Top Losers comprise Techno Electric & Engineering, Matek, Oriental Aromatics, Sadbhav Engineering, KBC Global, Future Consumer and Nahar Polyfilms.

The following small-cap stocks are likely to be in focus on Thursday, June 16, 2022:    

Genesys International Corporation – The company has announced a Rs 250 crore round of equity investment led by Malabar India Fund with participation from other marquee investors as well. The investment is intended to accelerate the company's 3D digital twin content programme. The content platform, which was launched by Niti Aayog, is creating the most state-of-the-art mapping content for India, thanks to the landmark new geospatial policy.     

Stove Kraft – The company has announced the opening of its first company-owned and company-operated retail store in Frazer Town (Bengaluru). The store will offer an entire range of products including cookware, cooktops, small appliances, and LED products sold under Pigeon brand. Over the next 12-18 months, the company is expected to open 35-40 additional company-owned and company-operated retail stores in the state of Karnataka.    

NLC India - As part of the diversification initiative, the company is planning for indigenous methanol production as per Atmanirbhar Bharat's vision of the Government of India and proposes to set up a methanol project using lignite at Neyveli (Tamil Nadu) with a capacity of 1,200 tonnes per day (0.40 MTPA) at a capital cost of about Rs 4,400 crore. This landmark project, first-of-its-kind, is expected to be commissioned in 2027.    

Tarson Products - The company has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Board of Radiation & Isotope Technology, Government of India (BRIT) in relation to setting up of gamma radiation processing plant of the company at Amta, Howrah (West Bengal) for captive consumption purpose.    

52-week high stocks – KPI Green Energy, Priti International, Mirza International, Standard Industries, Kohinoor Foods, Apar Industries, BLS International Services, and Varun Beverages made a fresh 52-week high today.
