On Wednesday, Indian equity markets ended the trading session on a flat note. Nifty 50 and Sensex closed in the red territory at 16,240.30 and 54,208.53, respectively; with losses of 0.12 per cent and 0.20 per cent.
BSE Smallcap index outperformed broader markets by recording gains of 0.33 per cent and closing at 26,404.78. Top Gainers of the index include Orient Bell, Sudarshan Chemical Industries, Wockhardt, Datamatics Global Services, Uttam Sugar Mills and JK Paper. Top Losers comprise Techno Electric & Engineering, Route Mobile, Muthoot Capital Services, Metropolis Healthcare and Fairchem Organics.

Orient Bell – The company has reported impressive results for the quarter and year ended March 31, 2022. The topline growth for Q4FY22 came in at more than 19 per cent on a YoY basis, led by channel expansion, new products, displays & digital tools. Despite rising energy & other costs, consistent improvement in consumption KPI’s and operating leverage led to improved profitability margins. On a consolidated basis, the net profit of Q4FY22 stood at Rs 16.5 crore as against Rs 8.3 crore in Q4FY21.
Nucleus Software Exports – The company has taken some extremely bold steps to ensure long-term growth while announcing its financial results for the quarter ended March 31, 2022. The revenues on a consolidated basis for Q4FY22 came in at Rs 153.04 crore as against Rs 124.18 crore in Q4FY21. Q4FY22 PAT on a consolidated basis was at Rs 18.29 crore, as against Rs 27.35 crore in Q4 of 2020-21.
