Stocks to watch: These small-cap stocks will be in focus tomorrow!
Mahindra Lifespace Developers, Jagsonpal Pharmaceuticals, Aarvi Encon, Steelcast, AVT Natural Products, KEI Industries, NIIT, Bigbloc Construction, and Intellect Design Arena made a fresh 52-week high today.
On Thursday, the domestic equity benchmark indices broke their four-day winning streak to end in the red territory with losses of approximately 0.20 per cent each at 17,464.80 & 58,568.51 levels, respectively.
However, BSE Smallcap index ended the session at 28,215.65 with gains of 0.31 per cent. The top gainers of the index include IFB Agro Industries, Edelweiss Financial Services, Prakash Industries, Tamilnadu Petroproducts, and SVP Global Textiles. The top losers comprise Gayatri Projects, Future Lifestyle Fashions, Jaiprakash Associates, CSB Bank, Gravita India, and RattanIndia Power.

Valiant Communications – The company has announced the receipt of orders for supply commissioning of its communication, protection, and automatic ethernet failover solutions from Tejas Networks Limited (a Tata Group company). The total value of the orders exceeds Rs 15 crore for the State Electricity Boards of India of Karnataka, Telangana, and Punjab.
Birlasoft – The company announced it has been appraised at Maturity Level 5 of CMMI Institute’s Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI)® 2.0 for CMMI-DEV and CMMI-SVC. An appraisal at a Maturity Level 5 indicates that the organisation is performing at an “optimising” level.
Jaiprakash Associates – According to a statement issued by the company to the bourses, it has defaulted on payments to the tune of Rs 2,897 crore to lenders on February 28. The company has Rs 1,544 crore of interest overdue and Rs 1,353 crore to lenders. ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, IDBI Bank, Canara Bank, and Bank of Baroda are among the lenders to Jaiprakash Associates.
