On October 17, major equity indices witnessed moderate advances. Sensex, after a robust day, settled in green post ascending 491 points at 58,410 level. Following the path, Nifty 50 too scaled up by 126 points to close the day at 17,311 level. In line with this, Bank Nifty also soared 614 points to close the day at 39,920 level.

Ahluwalia Contracts (India): The company has secured an order from the Government of Assam office for the construction of a new medical college and hospital worth Rs 110.67 crore. The order inflow was recorded at Rs 3,012 crore in FY23.
Dilip Buildcon: The company announced that it has been awarded a project worth Rs 702 crore from Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation. The shares of Dilip Buildcon rose nearly 2 per cent and closed at Rs 221.50 per share on the back of this announcement.
BLS International Services: The shares of BLS International Services soared more than 10 per cent on October 17 on the back of a surge in the trading volume. The stock price reached Rs 326.70 per share.
Godfrey Phillips India: The company has made a new 52-week high of Rs 1,424 per share after surging nearly 10 per cent.
