Meanwhile, S&P BSE Smallcap index gained only 11.52 points to end at 28,800.82

S&P BSE Sensex closed in the green territory, up by 36 points at a level of 58,803.33. On the other hand, Nifty 50 index fell by mere 3 points to end the day at 17,539.45. On NSE sectoral front, financial services, FMCG, and media advanced the most.  

  

Meanwhile, S&P BSE Smallcap index gained only 11.52 points to end at 28,800.82. The Top Gainers of the index include Fermenta Biotech, TCNS Clothing Company Ltd, Jaiprakash Associates Ltd, and Datamatics Global Services.  

  

The following Small-Cap stocks are likely to be in focus on Monday, September 5, 2022:  

  

HBL Power SystemsHBL, the leading business in a partnership with Siemens, signed the initial contract for the deployment of Kavach under Mission Raftar. The transaction would cost Rs 286.69 crore (including taxes). HBL will be entitled to Rs 205.88 crore for its completion, which will take 700 days. Additionally, two contracts from Western Railway and West Central Railway would soon be awarded worth Rs 435.51 crore (including taxes).  

  

EIHThe shares of EIH made a new 52-week high on the back of a spurt in the trading volume to reach a price of Rs 190 per share on September 2. The shares of EIH were locked in the upper circuit today after surging 20 per cent. On a yearly basis, the stock has given returns of more than 75 per cent while on a YTD basis, it appreciated over 50 per cent.  

  

Udaipur Cement WorksThe shares of Udaipur Cement climbed more than 14 per cent on September 2 to reach an intraday high of Rs 35.55 per share. The company witnessed a surge in the trading volume, which drove the share price upwards.
