Stocks to watch: These small-cap stocks will be in focus on Monday!

Accuracy Shipping, Medico Remedies, Kohinoor Foods¸ Standard Industries, Madhya Bharat Agro Products, and Shanti Overseas (India) made a fresh 52-week high today

On Thursday, the Indian equity markets continued to build on Thursday’s winning streak to climb further. Nifty 50 and Sensex recorded gains of approximately 1.15 per cent each to end the last trading session of the week at 16,352.50 and 54,884.66, respectively. 

BSE Smallcap index performed at par with broader markets, ending in the green territory at 25,621.57 with gains of 1.20 per cent. Top Gainers of the index include Jindal Poly Films, Antony Waste Handling Cell, Banco Products (India), INEOS Styrolution India, Apar Industries, and TCPL Packaging. Meanwhile, the Top Losers comprise Techno Electric & Engineering, Satia Industries, Triveni Turbine, Mahindra Lifespace Developers, Go Fashion (India), and Easy Trip Planners.   

The following small-cap stocks are likely to be in focus on Monday, May 30, 2022:    

Gravita India – The company has installed a total of 1,300 KW of solar energy generation systems at its manufacturing facilities situated in India. This solar installation is expected to generate nearly 20 lakh KWh of energy per year and reduce carbon emissions by around 1,550 tonnes per year. This solar installation will fulfill 7-8 per cent of Gravita Group's total energy requirement. The company has incurred a capital expenditure of approximately Rs 6 crore for installing this solar system, which has been funded through internal accruals.    

Zydus Lifesciences – The company announced that it has received an establishment inspection report (EIR) from United States Food & Drug Administration (USFDA) for its Jarod injectables manufacturing facility near Vadodara, India. Zydus said that USFDA has determined that the inspection classification of the facility is voluntary action indicated (VAI) and has concluded that the inspection is considered ‘closed’. The inspection was a pre-approval-cum-cGMP inspection and it covered 15 ANDAs. USFDA inspected the facility from February 24 to March 10, 2022.    

Antony Waste Handling Cell – The company informed the exchange that one of its material subsidiaries namely, AG Enviro Infra Projects Private Limited has been awarded two contracts i.e. daily municipal solid waste collection from Panchvati & Satpur divisions along with transportation to compost plant at Pathardi for five years for Nashik City Municipal Corporation. The size of the order stands at Rs 124 crore for a concession period of five years. 

52-week high stocks – Accuracy Shipping, Medico Remedies, Kohinoor Foods¸ Standard Industries, Madhya Bharat Agro Products, and Shanti Overseas (India) made a fresh 52-week high today.
