Stocks in high demand: Top three small-cap stocks that surged in the pre-opening session today
These three Group A stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 517.54 points or 0.88 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index was trading at the level of 58,623.50, signifying a loss of 217.29 points or 0.37 per cent.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals got hammered by 0.2 per cent, power strengthened by 0.4 per cent whereas auto slipped marginally by 0.1 per cent.
Meanwhile, Fairchem Organics, TV Today Network, and Inox Wind emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today. Barring TV Today Network, the other two companies have not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in their share prices could be driven purely by market forces.
Fairchem Organics Ltd, an S&P BSE Smallcap company, surged 6.72 per cent to trade at Rs 143.55 apiece.
TV Today Network Ltd, another S&P BSE Smallcap company rallied 4.16 per cent to trade at Rs 296.80 apiece. The company had announced a dividend of Rs 3 per equity share, representing 60 per cent of the face value. Today is the ex-dividend date for this corporate action.
Inox Wind Ltd, also from the Small-Cap space, climbed 3.97 per cent to trade at Rs 150.75 apiece.
