Stocks below Rs 100: Only buyers seen in these scrips on August 12

The shares of Indraprastha Gas Ltd and Oil & Natural Gas Corporation surged by more than 5 per cent each, leading to a rise in the oil & gas sector.

The Indian benchmark indices started Friday's session on a flat note after shooting higher the previous day. Sensex as well as Nifty 50 swung between modest gains & losses as a result of mixed global sentiments, helped by oil and energy stocks to pare some of its initial losses and move higher.  

Most of the sectors were trading higher. The shares of Indraprastha Gas Ltd and Oil & Natural Gas Corporation increased by more than 5 per cent each, leading to a rise in the oil & gas sector.  

BSE Healthcare was the session's biggest loser while IPCA Laboratories was its biggest drag. Following news that IPCA Laboratories' Q1FY23 net profit had fallen by more than 50 per cent, the company's shares plunged 8 per cent.   

At 3.15 pm, BSE Sensex rose 0.29 per cent, reaching a level of 59,501.80. Nifty 50 index gained 0.24 per cent to the 17,701.25 level. On Sensex, NTPC, Tata Steel & Power Grid Corporation of India were the Top Gainers while Infosys, Maruti Suzuki, and Larsen & Toubro were the Top Losers.
