Stocks below Rs 100: Only buyers seen in these scrips on April 12

At 10.30 am on Tuesday, the core equity indices i.e., Sensex and Nifty 50 fell by almost a per cent each, owing to the persistent geopolitical tensions coupled with rising supply chain difficulties in China.

Several global banks now are tightening their monetary policies following Fed’s footsteps in order to curb the grappling inflation.                                             

Crude oil prices have eased to $96 per barrel as the US dollar appreciates against the rupee at almost Rs 76 per dollar.   

The US markets fell by 2 per cent as the technology stocks dragged whereas the 10-year treasury yield rose to 2.813 per cent, the highest in three years.  

Sensex was at 58,432.73, down by 531.39 points or 0.90 per cent while Nifty was at 17,490.55, down by 184.40 points or 1.04 per cent from the last trading session.               

On BSE, 834 shares have advanced, 2,337 shares declined whereas 118 shares are unchanged.          

The Top Gainers in Nifty 50 pack are Maruti Suzuki, HDFC Life Insurance Company, TCS, Kotak Mahindra Bank, and SBI Life Insurance Company. Meanwhile, the top five stocks pulling down the index are Hindalco Industries, Coal India, Tata Steel, Tata Motors, and Grasim Industries.  

BSE Smallcap index is trading at 29,335.74, down by 1.82 per cent. Meanwhile, Gufic BioSciences, Aurum Proptech, Dharamsi Morarji Chemical, Ador Welding, and Sandur Manganese & Iron Ores gained over 10 per cent each. Similarly, the Top Losers include Techno Electric & Engineering Company, Udaipur Cement, Nectar Lifesciences, Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers, and Mirza International.   

Sector-wise speaking, all the sectors were trading in the red today with BSE Metal, BSE Realty, BSE Oil & Gas, BSE Energy, and BSE Basic Materials, dragging the markets down by 2 per cent to 3 per cent each.
