Spicejet to introduce 6 new flights from Sept. 26

Spicejet, a low-cost airline, announced on Friday that it will introduce six new flights from September 26 to expand its domestic as well as international network.

The carrier has introduced non-stop Kolkata-Bangkok-Kolkata flight and enhanced frequencies of Kolkata-Chennai and Chennai-Shirdi flights. The airline will now connect Kolkata and Shirdi with a direct flight via Chennai.

Debojo Maharshi, Chief Marketing Officer, Spicejet said, “We see tremendous potential in the Kolkata-Bangkok sector. Our second non-stop flight on this route will offer a tremendous boost to the city’s connectivity, considering it will also connect passengers to and from other Indian cities to Bangkok via Kolkata". He added that additional frequencies from Kolkata to Bangkok and Chennai are perfectly timed to meet and support the travel plans during Durga Pooja and the coming festival season.

SpiceJet Limited is an Indian low-cost airline having its headquarters in Gurgaon, India. As of August 2019, this airline operates daily 306 flights to 35 Indian and 6 international destinations.

On Friday, the stock of SpiceJet opened at Rs. 128.50 and made an intra-day high and low of Rs. 133.80 and Rs. 127.10, respectively, on the BSE. The stock of Spicejet closed at Rs. 132.80, up by 4.90 per cent.
