SpiceJet soars high on adding new flights
Spicejet was trading positive after the company declared the launch of 28 new flights. Under the government’s UDAN scheme, SpiceJet has launched 14 new flights, connecting the unserved regions of Jharsuguda, Kishangarh and Lakhimpur to key metros and cities across the country.
The company is also expected that in the upcoming days and weeks, the company will continue to prioritise and add more UDAN destinations taking air travel to the smaller towns and cities.
Spicejet is an India-based low-cost airline operator. The airline reported the Highest Passenger Load Factor in India for the month of February, making it the 47th consecutive month that Spicejet has flown with the industry’s highest occupancy rate.
On Monday, the shares of Spice Jet opened at Rs. 98.80 against Friday’s close of Rs. 97.75. At noon, the shares were trading at Rs. 98.55, up by 0.82 per cent. It reached an intraday high of Rs. 100 and an intraday low of Rs. 98.05 per share on the BSE. The 52-week high stood at Rs. 142 and 52-week low was at Rs. 60.60 per share. Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was quoting 38,982.20, up by 0.80 per cent.
