Spice Jet launches non-stop flight to Hong Kong
SpiceJet has launched daily non-stop flights connecting India’s financial capital, Mumbai with Hong Kong. The shares of SpiceJet closed 4 per cent lower after its intraday gain of 1.5 per cent.
Spice Jet will be the only Indian carrier to connect Mumbai with Hong Kong with a daily non-stop flight effective 31 July, 2019. Hong Kong happens to be one of the top tourist destinations in the world. It is also connected to Delhi with a daily non-stop flight by SpiceJet. SpiceJet will deploy its 168-seater Boeing 737-800 aircraft on the sector.
SpiceJet will also start eight new daily international flights from Mumbai and Delhi from July onwards. The airline will service Mumbai-Riyadh-Mumbai, Mumbai-Dhaka-Mumbai, Delhi-Dhaka-Delhi and Delhi-Jeddah-Delhi routes with daily non-stop flights.
On Thursday, the shares of Spice Jet opened at Rs. 130.50 against Wednesday’s close of Rs.129.25. At closing hours, the stock was trading at Rs. 124.35, 3.79 per cent lower than the previous close. Its intraday high was Rs.131 and intraday low was Rs. 123.85 per share on the BSE. The 52-week high stood at Rs. 156.90 and 52-week low was at Rs. 60.60 per share on the BSE.
