Skipper reports subdue Q4FY18 performance

Skipper's standalone revenue for the quarter came in at Rs. 592.85 crore, registering 2.9 per cent yoy decline.

EBITDA for the quarter rose by 7.5 per cent yoy to Rs. 108.56 crore with a corresponding margin expansion of 177 bps. EBITDA margin for the quarter stood at 18.3 per cent.

The PAT for the quarter came in at Rs. 49.34 crore, yoy decline of 15.1 per cent.

Revenue for full years 2017-18 rose 17.3 per cent yoy to Rs. 2108 crore. EBITDA for the period rose 11.2 per cent yoy to Rs. 303 crore with corresponding margin contraction of 80 bps. EBITDA margin for the year stood at 14.4 per cent. Net profit for FY18 dipped 5.2 per cent yoy to Rs. 118 crore.

In response to this result, the stock of Skipper plummeted around 12.6 per cent to touch intra-day of Rs. 173, but later it recovered and closed for the day at Rs. 184.9 per share, down by 7.2 per cent.
