Siemens posts an increase of 18 per cent in PAT for Q2FY18
Siemens reported its results for the quarter ended March 31, 2018. The company follows October to September as its fiscal year.
The company’s standalone revenue for the quarter came in at Rs 3283.4 crore, registering an increase of 7.6 per cent YoY.
Its EBITDA for the quarter rose by 15.9 per cent YoY to Rs 322.8 crore with a corresponding margin expansion of 70 bps. The EBITDA margin for the quarter stood at 9.8 per cent.
The PAT for the quarter came in at Rs 219.7 crore, an increase of 18 per cent YoY.
The new orders for the period stood at Rs 2,923.6 crore. There was an increase of 22 per cent in orders of its base business (orders of value less than Rs 100 crore) for the second quarter of FY2018 and 21 per cent for the first half of FY2018 ended March 31 , 2018.
The large orders won during the second quarter of FY2017 included an order from Power Grid Corporation of India for the Pugalur-Thrissur high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission system.
On Wednesday, the stock opened at Rs 1125 and touched an intra-day high and low of Rs 1154.45 and Rs 1121, respectively, and finally closed at Rs 1127.90 on the BSE.
