Sical Logistics PAT sinks by 22.42 per cent
Sical Logistics reported a consolidated net profit of Rs. 4.7 crore with an EPS of Rs. 0.90 per share for the quarter ended December 2018 as against Rs. 6.06 crore with an EPS of Rs. 1.04 per share in the corresponding quarter last year.
The company’s revenues on a consolidated basis came in at Rs. 414.15 crore for the quarter ended December 2018 as against Rs. 329.44 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
The rise in revenue but a fall in profits has led to thinning of the PAT margin. The PAT margin for the quarter stood at 1.13 per cent as against 1.83 per cent for the December quarter last year. The PBT for the company came in at Rs. 7.84 crore, down 29.36 per cent from Rs. 11.1 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
Sical Logistics provides integrated logistics services. The company’s division includes port handling, retail supply chain solutions, customs house agency, road logistics, shipping division and Goodwill Travels division. The port handling division is engaged in performing stevedoring at the ports of Chennai, Mangalore, Tuticorin etc. The road logistics division has clients from the domains of construction, petroleum, chemicals, steel and fertilizers.
