Shares below Rs 100: Only buyers were seen in these stocks on October 17

BSE-listed companies' market capitalisation is approximately - Rs 4.57 lakh crore or USD 5.44 trillion as of October 17, 2024.

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices were trading in the red on Thursday with the Sensex down 0.61 per cent at 81,007 and the Nifty-50 down 0.89 per cent at 24,750. About 1,273 shares have advanced, 2,688 shares have declined and 103 shares were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 85,978.25 on September 27, 2024 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 26,277.35 on September 27, 2024.

The broader markets were in the red territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index down 1.65 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index down 1.42 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd, JSW Infrastructure Ltd and the Central Bank of India. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers are K&R Rail Engineering Ltd, Raghav Productivity Enhancers Ltd and PC Jewellers Ltd.

On the sectoral front, the indices were trading mixed with the BSE Information Technology Index and BSE Teck Index being the Top Gainers while the BSE Realty Index and BSE Auto Index were the Top Losers.

BSE-listed companies' market capitalisation is approximately - Rs 4.57 lakh crore or USD 5.44 trillion as of October 17, 2024. On the same day, 245 stocks hit a 52-week high while 35 stocks touched a 52-week low.
