Shares below Rs 100: Only buyers were seen in these stocks on November 17!

Shares of R Systems International surged more than 14 per cent on a 23-fold rise in volume, making it the top BSE Smallcap gainer.

Wall Street indices dropped from their two-month high and ended the session lower overnight, as US retail stocks suffered as a result of Target Corporation's sales warning and gloomy outlook.  

While most Asian markets were trading down, Indian domestic indices opened lower and fluctuated between slight gains and losses. Likewise, broader indices were trading lower, with a balanced advance-decline ratio on the BSE.  

The majority of sectors were trading downwards, with BSE Metals having the worst performance, losing more than 1 per cent and being pulled down by Hindalco Industries and National Aluminium Company. The BSE Capital Goods sector drew investors' attention with gains of more than 1 per cent in a weak market, thanks to over 8 per cent gains in Timken India.  

At 10:50 am, the BSE Sensex edged down by 0.08 per cent, reaching a level of 61,933. The Nifty 50 index declined 0.15 per cent to the 18,382 level. On the Sensex, Larsen & Toubro, Power Grid Corporation of India and ITC were the Top Gainers, whereas Titan, Tata Steel and Tech Mahindra were the Top Losers.
