At 01:15 pm, BSE Sensex was trading lower, down around 446 points or 0.75 per cent at a level of 58,885.39 and NSE Nifty-50 also was trading lower, down around 143 points or 0.81 per cent at 17,461.90.
Adani Group’s stocks have been affected for the past 3 days. The reason being the Hindenburg Research reports, which are raising concern over the debt positions, brazen stock manipulation and accounting fraud scheme.
Meanwhile, the broad selloff continues, with Adani Green Energy Ltd and Adani Total Gas Ltd down 20 per cent each again. Gautam Adani's flagship Adani Enterprises Ltd as well as Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd rebounded following a rebuttal of Hindenburg's fraud allegations.
Foreign institutional investors (FII) net sold shares worth Rs 5,977.86 crore on January 27, the hHigt single-day outflow since April 18, 2022, while domestic institutional investors (DII) net bought shares worth Rs 4,252.33 crore.
