Shares below Rs 100: Only buyers were seen in these stocks on December 27
BSE Metals Index was shining today among all sectors, up 4.59 per cent to a level of 20,639.25.
On Tuesday, the benchmark indices were trading up, amid volatility. On the sectoral front, all the indices ended the day green, with the exception of the BSE FMCG Index, which was the only losing sector. About 2,572 shares have advanced, 926 declined and 133 are unchanged.
At 15:30 IST, Sensex closed on a positive note, up around 361 points or 0.60 per cent at a level of 60,927.43. In the broader markets, the indices traded higher with the BSE Mid-Cap index up by 0.78 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap index up by 1.46 per cent, respectively. Jindal Steel Ltd was the top mid-cap stock, up by 9.21 per cent to Rs 576.30 whereas Centum Electronics Ltd was the top small-cap stock, up by 20 per cent to Rs 750.10.
The Nifty-50 also closed on a positive note, up around 118 points or 0.65 per cent at 18,132.60. Top Gainers of Nifty-50 were Hindalco Industries Ltd, up by 6.11 per cent to Rs 470 and Tata Steel, up by 6 per cent to Rs 111.30.
BSE Metals Index and BSE Commodities Index were the top gaining sectors, soaring by 4.59 per cent and 2.34 per cent respectively. Jindal Steel Ltd and National Aluminium India Ltd were the top metals stocks today which surged over 10 per cent today.
