Shares below Rs 100: Only buyers were seen in these stocks on December 19

The broader markets were in the red territory, with the BSE Mid-cap Index down 0.30 per cent and the BSE Small-cap Index down 0.28 per cent.

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices are trading in red on Thursday with the Sensex down 1.20 per cent at 79,218 and the Nifty-50 plunged 1.02 per cent at 23,952. About 1,682 shares have advanced, 2,312 shares have declined and 101 shares were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 85,978.25 on September 27, 2024 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 26,277.35 on September 27, 2024.

The broader markets were in the red territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index down 0.30 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index down 0.28 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Ipca Laboratories Ltd, Oracle Financial Services Software Ltd and Lupin Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers are Avalon Technologies Ltd, Punjab Chemicals And Crop Protection Ltd and Iol Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd.

On the sectoral front, all the indices were trading in red with the BSE Financial Services Index; BSE IT Index; BSE Power Index; BSE Bankex Index and BSE Consumer Durables Index being the Top Gainers which plunged over 1 per cent each.

BSE-listed companies' market capitalisation is approximately - Rs 4.50 lakh crore or USD 5.29 trillion as of December 19, 2024. On the same day, 221 stocks hit a 52-week high while 56 stocks touched a 52-week low.
