Shares below Rs 100: Only buyers were seen in these stocks on December 17

The broader markets were in the red territory, with the BSE Mid-cap Index down 0.65 per cent and the BSE Small-cap Index down 0.52 per cent.

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices are trading in red on Tuesday with the Sensex down 1.30 per cent at 80,684 and the Nifty-50 plunged 1.35 per cent at 24,336. About 1,576 shares have advanced, 2,442 shares have declined and 89 shares were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 85,978.25 on September 27, 2024 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 26,277.35 on September 27, 2024.

The broader markets were in the red territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index down 0.65 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index down 0.52 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Mazagon Dock Shipbuilder Ltd, Suzlon Energy Ltd and Go Digit General Insurance Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers are Fairchem Organics Ltd, Kalyani Steels Ltd and                Jyoti CNC Automation Ltd

On the sectoral front, all the indices were trading in red with the BSE Teck Index; BSE Oil & Gas Index; BSE Telecommunication Index; BSE Oil & Gas Index and BSE Bankex Index being the Top Gainers which plunged over 1 per cent each.

BSE-listed companies' market capitalisation is approximately - Rs 4.55 lakh crore or USD 5.36 trillion as of December 17, 2024. On the same day, 278 stocks hit a 52-week high while 28 stocks touched a 52-week low.
