Shares below Rs 100: Only buyers were seen in these stocks on December 12
The broader markets were in the red territory, with the BSE Mid-cap Index down 0.56 per cent and the BSE Small-cap Index down 1 per cent.
The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices are trading in red on Thursday with the Sensex down 0.29 per cent at 81,290 and the Nifty-50 down 0.38 per cent at 24,549. About 1,481 shares have advanced, 2,517 shares have declined and 107 shares were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 85,978.25 on September 27, 2024 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 26,277.35 on September 27, 2024.
The broader markets were in the red territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index down 0.56 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index down 1 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Max Healthcare Institute Ltd, Muthoot Finance Ltd and Coforge Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers are CENTUM ELECTRONICS LTD, BLISS GVS PHARMA LTD and Star Cement Ltd
On the sectoral front, the indices trading mixed with the BSE IT Index and BSE Focused Index were the only Top Gainers while the BSE FMCG Index and BSE Energy Index were the Top Losers.
BSE-listed companies' market capitalisation is approximately - Rs 4.58 lakh crore or USD 5.40 trillion as of December 12, 2024. On the same day, 259 stocks hit a 52-week high while 22 stocks touched a 52-week low.
