Shares below Rs 100: Only buyers were seen in these stocks on August 28
BSE-listed companies' market capitalisation is approximately - Rs 4.63 lakh crore or USD 5.51 trillion as of August 28, 2024.
The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices were trading in the green on Wednesday with the Sensex up 0.09 per cent at 81,786, and the Nifty-50 up 0.14 per cent at 25,052. About 1,815 shares have advanced, 2,147 shares have declined and 94 shares were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 82,129.49 on August 01, 2024, and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 25,129.60 on August 28, 2024.
The broader markets were in the mixed territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index up 0.04 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index down 0.12 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Trent Ltd, Ajanta Pharma Ltd and Vedant Fashions Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers are NBCC (India) Ltd, IFCI Ltd and Bhageria Industries Ltd.
On the sectoral front, the indices were trading mixed with the BSE Information Technology Index and BSE Teck Index being the Top Gainers while the BSE Commodities Index and BSE FMCG Index were the Top Losers.
