Shares below Rs 100: Only buyers were seen in these stocks on August 20

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices were trading in the green on Tuesday with the Sensex up 0.47 per cent at 80,803, and the Nifty-50 up 0.51 per cent at 24,699. About 2,384 shares have advanced, 1,549 shares have declined and 103 shares were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 82,129.49 on August 01, 2024, and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 25,078.30 on August 01, 2024.
The broader markets were in the green territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index up 0.98 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 0.52 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Torrent Power Ltd, JSW Energy Ltd and ICICI Securities Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers are Nucleus Software Exports Ltd, Optiemus Infracom Ltd and Kingfa Science & Technology (India) Ltd.
On the sectoral front, the indices were trading mixed with the BSE Financial Services and BSE Utilities Index being the Top Gainers while the BSE FMCG Index and BSE Capital Goods Index were the Top Losers.
BSE-listed companies' market capitalisation is approximately - Rs 4.57 lakh crore or USD 5.45 trillion as of August 20, 2024. On the same day, 291 stocks hit a 52-week high while 21 stocks touched a 52-week low.
