The broader markets were in mixed territory, with the BSE Mid-cap Index up 0.26 per cent and the BSE Small-cap Index down 0.06 per cent.
The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices were trading positive on Monday with the Sensex up 0.67 per cent at 74,743, and the Nifty-50 up 0.68 per cent at 22,666. About 1,898 shares have advanced, 2,031 have declined and 126 were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 74,869.3 on April 08, 2024, and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 22,697.30 on April 08, 2024.
The broader markets were in mixed territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index up 0.26 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index down 0.06 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Exide Industries Ltd, Macrotech Developers Ltd and Torrent Power Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers are Dolat Algotech Ltd, Gulshan Polyols Ltd and HMA Agro Industries Ltd.
On the sectoral front, the indices were trading in mixed with BSE Auto Index and BSE Oil & Gas Index being the Top Gainers while the BSE Information Technology Index and BSE Services Index were the Top Losers.
BSE-listed companies' market capitalisation is approximately - Rs 401 lakh crore or USD 4.81 trillion as of April 08, 2024. On the same day, 266 stocks hit a 52-week high while 12 stocks touched a 52-week low.
