The broader markets were in mixed territory, with the BSE Mid-cap Index down 0.11 per cent and the BSE Small-cap Index up 0.54 per cent.
The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices were trading positive on Wednesday with the Sensex up 0.47 per cent at 72,228, and the Nifty-50 up 0.36 per cent at 22,515. About 2,451 shares have advanced, 1,397 have declined and 99 were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 74,501.73 on April 04, 2024, and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 22,619 on April 04, 2024.

The top mid-cap gainers were Uno Minda Ltd, Macrotech Developers Ltd and NHPC Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers are Elgi Equipments Ltd, Capacite Infraprojects Ltd and Coffee Day Enterprises Ltd.
On the sectoral front, the indices were trading in mixed with BSE Consumer Durables Index and BSE Auto Index being the Top Gainers while the BSE Oil & Gas Index and BSE Energy Index were the Top Losers.
BSE-listed companies' market capitalisation is approximately - Rs 398 lakh crore or USD 4.80 trillion as of April 04, 2024. On the same day, 214 stocks hit a 52-week high while 7 stocks touched a 52-week low.
