Shares Below Rs 100: Only Buyers Were Seen In These Stocks, Locked in Upper Circuit Today

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices are trading in the green on Tuesday with the Sensex up 0.24 per cent at 79,596 and the Nifty-50 up 0.17 per cent at 24,167. About 2,477 shares have advanced, 1,504 shares have declined and 149 shares were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 85,978.25 on September 27, 2024 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 26,277.35 on September 27, 2024.

The broader markets were in the green territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index up 0.81 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 0.82 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd, Dixon Technologies (India) Ltd and SJVN Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers were Rajratan Global Wire Ltd, Rishabh Instruments Ltd and Alok Industries Ltd.

On the sectoral front, the indices traded mixed with the BSE Consumer Durables Index and BSE Realty Index were the Top Gainers while the BSE Teck Index and BSE IT Index were the Top Losers.

As of April 22, 2025, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies was approximately Rs 4.27 lakh crore or USD 5.02 trillion. On the same day, 85 stocks hit a 52-week high, while 29 stocks touched a 52-week low.
