Shares Below Rs 100: Only Buyers Were Seen In These Stocks, Locked in Upper Circuit Today

As of January 16, 2025, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies was approximately Rs 4.29 lakh crore or USD 4.96 trillion.

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices are trading in the green on Thursday with the Sensex up 0.42 per cent at 77,043 and the Nifty-50 up 0.42 per cent at 23,312. About 2,776 shares have advanced, 1,188 shares have declined and 103 shares were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 85,978.25 on September 27, 2024 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 26,277.35 on September 27, 2024.

The broader markets were in the green territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index up 0.92 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 1.43 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd, Torrent Power Ltd and Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers are Aeroflex Industries Ltd, IRCON International Ltd and  Railtel Corporation of India Ltd.

On the sectoral front, the indices trading mixed with the BSE Industrials Index and BSE Services Index were the Top Gainers while the BSE Information Technology Index and BSE Focused IT Index were the Top Losers.

As of January 16, 2025, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies was approximately Rs 4.29 lakh crore or USD 4.96 trillion. On the same day, 98 stocks hit a 52-week high, while 63 stocks touched a 52-week low.
