Shares Below Rs 100: Only Buyers Were Seen In These Stocks, Locked in Upper Circuit Today

As of January 08, 2025, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies was approximately Rs 4.40 lakh crore or USD 5.12 trillion.

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices are trading in the red on Wednesday with the Sensex down 0.06 per cent at 78,148 and the Nifty-50 down 0.08 per cent at 23,689. About 2,386 shares have advanced, 2,586 shares have declined and 94 shares were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 85,978.25 on September 27, 2024 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 26,277.35 on September 27, 2024.

The broader markets were in the red territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index down 1.09 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index down 1.12 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were The Phoenix Mills Ltd, Oil India Ltd and Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers are Spandana Sphoorty Financial Ltd, CreditAccess Grameen Ltd and Suven Life Sciences Ltd.

On the sectoral front, the indices trading mixed with the BSE Oil & Gas Index and BSE Energy Index were the only Top Gainers while the BSE Consumer Durables Index and BSE Industrials Index were the Top Losers.

As of January 08, 2025, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies was approximately Rs 4.40 lakh crore or USD 5.12 trillion. On the same day, 148 stocks hit a 52-week high, while 101 stocks touched a 52-week low.
