Sharda Cropchem: PAT jumps 105 per cent

Sharda Cropchem reported its results for the quarter ended December 30, 2018 on Thursday during market hours. The company's consolidated revenue for the quarter came in at Rs. 471.45 crore.

Sharda Cropchem posted consolidated revenue of Rs. 471.45 crore as against Rs. 325.46 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, registering 45 per cent yoy increase. This was mainly led by a jump in revenue from Agrochemicals and Belts by 40 per cent and 69 per cent, respectively, on YoY basis.

The EBITDA for the quarter jumped by 33 per cent YoY to Rs. 47.3 crore as against Rs. 35.66 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, with a corresponding margin contraction of 92 bps. EBITDA margin for the quarter stood at 10 per cent as against 11 per cent in Q3FY18. The PAT for the quarter came in at Rs. 20.28 crore as against Rs. 9.91 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, YoY increase of 105 per cent.

The company's Board of Directors approved an interim dividend of Rs. 2 per equity share of face value of Rs. 10 each.

Cheering the healthy numbers, the stock jumped by 6 per cent and made an intraday high of Rs. 319.65 on the BSE and finally closed at Rs. 302.40. The company had hit its 52-week high of Rs. 476 on January 24, 2018 and its 52-week low of Rs. 259.95 on December 11, 2018 on the BSE.
