Sensex hit 80,000 mark & Shares below Rs 100: Only buyers were seen in these stocks on July 03
The top mid-cap gainers were Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL), SJVN Ltd and Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd.
The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices were trading in the green on Wednesday with the Sensex up 0.69 per cent at 79,987, and the Nifty-50 up 0.67 per cent at 24,287. About 2,355 shares have advanced, 1,566 have declined and 100 were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 80,0074.30 on July 03, 2024, and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 24,309.15 on July 03, 2024.
The broader markets were in the green territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index up 0.86 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 0.86 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL), SJVN Ltd and Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers are Kingfa Science & Technology (India) Ltd, Zen Technologies Ltd and Cochin Shipyard Ltd.
On the sectoral front, the indices were trading in mixed with the BSE Telecommunication Index and BSE Bankex Index being the Top Gainers while the BSE Oil & Gas Index was the only top loser.
BSE-listed companies' market capitalisation is approximately - Rs 4.46 lakh crore or USD 5.33 trillion as of July 03, 2024. On the same day, 337 stocks hit a 52-week high while 17 stocks touched a 52-week low.
