Sensex ends flat, 6 stocks hit 52-week highs
After 4 consecutive upbeats, the Indian benchmark indices on Friday witnessed intraday profit booking after positive opening and finally closed flat. Sensex opened higher and hit above its previous day’s high which was an all-time high made after January 29, 2018, but could not sustain and closed flat. However, there were 5 stocks which hit 52-week high levels in Monday’s trade and closed in green.
Frontline bank, HDFC Bank which holds huge weightage in the Sensex hit 52-week high and registered 8th consecutive positive intraday closure. It broke its all-time high made on June 4 in Thursday’s trade and continued with the momentum on Friday.
FMCG giant, HUL is on the climbing spree where it is seen chasing its all-time high on almost all sessions from July 3. The stock still holds potential with rising volume and 14-period RSI downward sloping trendline breakout though in an overbought zone.
Kotak Bank too has been surging consistently since March 23, 2018, and is seen breaking all-time high levels since the mid of April 2018. The stock duly withstood volatility in the benchmark indices and Bank Nifty.
Reliance has been one of the favourite stocks since June 2018 and has since then given 2 higher tops and one higher bottom. Today, it closed in the green for the sixth consecutive upbeats and hit all-time high levels with sharp upside.
TCS, IT giant and the company with the highest market capitalisation is trailing at all-time high levels since last three trading sessions after its Q1FY19 earnings outcome. The stock holds potential for some more upside in near future.
