With the opening of these experience centres, Revolt now has 19 dealerships in 14 major cities spread across nine states.

RattanIndia Enterprises Limited backed Revolt Motors, the market leader in electric motorcycles in India announced the opening up of dealerships in five new cities i.e. Kolkata, Coimbatore, Madurai, Vizag and Vijayawada. With the opening of experience centres in these five new cities, Revolt will have 19 dealerships in 14 major cities spread across nine states in the country. These experience centres cater to customers for sales and after-sales services and spare.

Revolt Intellicorp which commenced its operations in 2019, has introduced India’s first AI-enabled motorcycle without compromising on the performance or aesthetics of a regular ride. The company offers two EV models in India currently, in addition to a full range of genuine parts and accessories available through its authorized dealerships.

The announcement came today in line with Odisha Electric Vehicle Policy 2021 incentivizing EV bike customers in Odisha.

Under the policy-

  • Customers to get Rs. 5,000 on purchase of electric motorcycle in Odisha.
  • Waiver of Road Tax and Registration Charges.
  • The policy to boost the penetration and increase the adoption of EVs in the state.
  •

These policy incentives would be over and above the Central Government policy – FAME II Incentive OF Rs 15000 per KWh for EV manufacturers.

Cumulatively these policies would entail incentives amounting to Rs 53000 per bike sold by Revolt in Odisha (Rs 48000 incentive to the company plus Rs 5000 to the customer).

Various state governments have also announced incentives for the sector.

These incentives by the Central Government and State Governments show the seriousness to encourage manufacturing and EV adoption in the country. With falling battery prices, EV bikes prices are already comparable to their petrol counterparts. With EV running cost of approximately Rs 9 per 100 km, these bikes have very low running costs as compared to petrol bikes.

The shares of RattanIndia have reacted positively to the announcement rallying 4.99 per cent, trading at Rs 43.15 at 11.10 am today.
