Rallis India tanks 5 per cent on poor Q4FY18 numbers
Rallis India Limited, a TATA Enterprise and a leading player in the Indian crop protection industry, announced its financial results for the quarter and year ended 31 March, 2018.
The company’s consolidated revenue for the quarter came in at Rs. 371.08 crore, registering a marginal increase of 1 per cent yoy.
The company's EBITDA for the quarter fell by 19.4 per cent yoy to Rs. 33.63 crore with a corresponding margin contraction of 229 bps. EBITDA margin for the quarter stood at 9.1 per cent. This margin contraction was led by jump in cost of materials by 32.2 per cent yoy.
The PAT for the quarter came in at Rs. 19.58 crore, yoy decline of 36.9 per cent.
Looking at the full year numbers, we see that revenue jumped by 2 per cent to reach Rs. 1,808.46 crore while EBITDA remains same at Rs. 264.47 crore. The company reported net profit of Rs. 167.02 crore, down 44 per cent yoy.
The company's board of directors have recommended a dividend of Rs. 2.5 per equity share.
Today, the stock opened at Rs. 229.70 and touched an intra-day high and low of Rs. 232.20 and Rs. 222.85, respectively, on the BSE.
