RailTel secures major order; stock rises nearly 2 per cent
RailTel Corporation of India Ltd has secured an order worth Rs 119.72 crore from Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL).
The order secured by the company is related to the implementation of MPLS-VPN services along with miscellaneous services at 340 locations of BCCL. The services will be carried by the company for a total duration of five years or 60 months. The total consideration of the order amounted to Rs 119.72 crore, including GST.
Incorporated in the year 2000, RailTel Corporation is an information & communications technology (ICT) provider and also, one of the largest neutral telecom infrastructure providers in the country, owning a pan-India optic fibre network on exclusive right-of-way (ROW) along the railway track. At present, the optic fibre network of the company covers over 59,458 route kilometres and over 5,990 railway stations across India. Their citywide access across the country is more than 18,000 kilometres.
At 11.12 am on Friday, the share price of the company was trading 1.72 per cent higher at Rs 133.00.
