Q4FY19: VIP Industries revenue increases 20 per cent YoY
VIP Industries reported its results for the quarter ended March 31, 2019 on Tuesday during market hours. The company's consolidated revenue for Q4FY19 came in at Rs. 434.98 crore as against Rs. 362.56 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, registering a 20 per cent YoY increase.
EBITDA for the quarter fell by 27.1 per cent YoY to Rs. 39.57 crore as against Rs. 54.31 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, with a corresponding margin contraction of 588 bps. EBITDA margin for the quarter stood at 9.1 per cent. The decline in margin was in line with the expectation of the company.
The PAT for the quarter came in at Rs. 25.28 crore as against Rs. 35.05 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, YoY decline of 27.9 per cent.
Looking at the full year numbers for FY19, the revenue jumped by 26 per cent to Rs. 1,784.66 crore while EBITDA rose by 16 per cent to Rs. 224.72 crore. Further, the company reported a net profit of Rs. 145.27 crore, up 15 per cent YoY.
The company's board of directors have recommended a final dividend of Rs. 2 for the face value of Rs. 2 each.
On Tuesday, the stock opened at Rs. 444.90 and made an intraday high of Rs. 453.50 on the BSE. At 15:27 hours, the stock was trading nearly at Rs. 430.95 per share on the BSE.
