Q4FY18 Result: GNFC spikes as PAT jumps 38 per cent
GNFC reported its results for the quarter ended March 31, 2018 on Monday after market hours.
Its standalone revenue for the quarter came in at Rs. 1,764 crore, registering 34.3 per cent yoy increase. This was led by jump in revenue from fertilizers segment and chemicals segment by 50 per cent yoy and 36 per cent yoy.
EBITDA for the quarter jumped to Rs. 471 crore vs Rs. 28 crore in corresponding quarter last year with a corresponding margin expansion of 2455 bps. EBITDA margin for the quarter stood at 26.7 per cent.
The PAT for the quarter came in at Rs. 328.9 crore, yoy increase of 38 per cent. This was partly due to almost 66 per cent yoy decline in interest expenses.
Looking at the full year numbers, revenue jumped by 20 per cent to reach Rs. 5,916 crore while EBITDA rose by 113 per cent to Rs. 1,391 crore. Further, its net profit stood at Rs. 789.5 crore, up 51 per cent yoy.
The Board of Directors has recommended a dividend of Rs. 7.5 per equity share for the face value of Rs. 10 each.
On Tuesday, the stock opened at Rs. 459, up by almost 7 per cent from its Monday's closing of Rs. 429.95, on the BSE.
