Q3FY19: V-Mart Retail reports 26 per cent jump in revenue

V-Mart’s revenues came in at Rs.467.55 crore for the quarter ended December 2018 as against Rs. 368.93 for the corresponding quarter last year up 26.73 per cent YoY.

The company reported a PAT of Rs. 41.68 crore with an EPS of Rs. 22.99 per share as against Rs. 36.68 crore with an EPS of Rs. 20.21 per share for the quarter ended December 2018, registering a growth of 13.63 per cent. The PBT margin rose to 15.94 per cent for the quarter ended December 2018 as against 14.33 per cent for the same period last year.

The company's management had indicated that they would be focusing on the tier III cities as it is the largest market for the company.

V-Mart Retail operates in the domain of readymade garments and accessories. It has a presence across three verticals including apparel, general merchandise (non- apparel and home mart) and kirana bazaar.

On Wednesday, the stock of V-Mart Retail was trading at Rs. 2,657.85 per share and made an intraday high and low of Rs. 2,700 and Rs. 2,635 on the NSE. The stock had hit its 52-week high of Rs. 3,299 on September 4, 2018 and its 52-week low was Rs.1,300 in February 6, 2018 on the NSE.
