Q3FY19 Results: ITC revenue up 15 per cent
ITC Limited reported 9.6 per cent YoY increase in cigarettes revenue for the quarter ended December 30, 2018, on Wednesday.
The company's standalone revenue for Q3FY19 came in at Rs. 11,431.26 crore as against Rs. 9,952.19 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, registering 15 per cent YoY increase. The revenue from cigarettes grew by 9.6 per cent YoY. Also, the revenue from hotels, agribusiness and packaging grew by 11.7 per cent, 25.7 per cent and 20.5 per cent, respectively on YoY basis.
The EBITDA for the quarter increased by 11 per cent YoY to Rs. 4,325.77 crore as against Rs. 3,889.06 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, with a corresponding margin contraction of 124 bps. EBITDA margin for the quarter stood at 37.8 per cent vs 39.1 per cent in Q3FY18.
The PAT for the quarter came in at Rs. 3,209.07 crore as against Rs. 3,090.2 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, YoY increase of 4 per cent. During Q3FY18, the company had an exceptional gain of Rs. 412.90 crore.
After the announcement of Q3 results, the stock of ITC turned volatile and declined by nearly 3 per cent to touch an intraday low of Rs. 281.85 on BSE. At 14:50 hours, the stock was trading at Rs. 282.80 per share on the BSE.
