Q3FY19: Muthoot Capital net profit up by 48 per cent
The listed entity of Muthoot Pappachan Group, Muthoot Capital Services announced its Q3FY19 earnings. The NBFC gave a stellar performance for the quarter, however the shares of the company were volatile on Monday.
The net profit for the quarter jumped 48 per cent to Rs. 23.3 crore from Rs. 15.7 crore in Q3FY18. The total income for the quarter under review touched Rs. 142.3 crore, against Rs. 105.2 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year, reflecting a growth of 35 per cent. The EBIDTA stood at Rs. 77.47 crore, expanding by 36 per cent YoY from Rs. 56.63 crore collected in Q3FY18.
The total AUM (Assets under Management) reached Rs. 2,595.9 crore at the end of the quarter, including the securitized portfolio of Rs. 438.3 crore. Return on equity stood at 20.8 per cent and the return on asset was at 4.3 per cent for the quarter.
On Monday, the stock of Muthoot Capital Services opened at Rs. 974.25 per share as against Friday’s close of Rs. 977.65 per share. At 15:24 hours, the shares were trading at Rs. 963.50 per share, down by 1.45 per cent. The stock's intraday high was Rs. 999.85 and intraday low was at Rs. 954.50 per share on the BSE. Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was at 36,541.24 level, up by 0.42 per cent.
