PVR launches new multiplex in Gujarat
Leading film exhibition company PVR inaugurated a four screens multiplex at Maruti Solaris Mall in Anand, Gujarat on Sunday, informed the company in a release to the exchange. Spread across an area of 20,521 sq. ft., the new PVR houses four auditoriums with a seating capacity 872 seats. This multiplex is equipped with 2K BARCO projection system, next-generation 3D-enabled screens and 7.1 Digital Dolby surround sound in all auditoriums.
The company has aggressive capex plans for FY19-20. It also started three-screen multiplex in Jalgaon city, Maharashtra which suggests its capex plans are going as per schedule.
With this launch, PVR now operates the largest multiplex network with 734 screens located in 158 properties, in 63 cities. PVR is the largest and the most premium film exhibition company in India. PVR offers an array of formats with premium screen category, which stands at four screens of Director’s Cut, 31 screens of Gold Class, eight of IMAX, nine of 4DX, six of P[XL], five of Playhouse and one of PVR Onyx across the country.
On Monday, at 11:15 hours, the stock traded at a price of Rs. 1444.80 per share on BSE, showing an uptick of nearly 2 per cent.
